Civil & software engineering.
Education. Music.

I’m a licensed Professional Engineer with 7+ years in civil infrastructure and about a decade in teaching and tutoring. I develop desktop software, work with audio and signal processing, and produce electronic music as Clear But Complex.

Water, wastewater, and site infrastructure—from hydraulic calculations and design criteria to coordinated construction documents.

My project engineering experience includes municipal conveyance systems, lift station improvements, utility infrastructure, technical specifications, permitting support, and construction-phase coordination. I bring a practical focus to design review: how the system operates, how it can be built, and how it will be maintained.

Hydraulics & pumping

Hydraulic calculations, pump selection and performance review, duty/standby operation, force mains, pressure piping, and bypass pumping considerations.

Water & utility design

Waterline and wastewater collection design, pipe material and pressure-class evaluation, utility separation, and coordination of alignments, profiles, and standard details.

Site civil & rehabilitation

Drainage and site improvements, wet well rehabilitation, meter vault modifications, and coordination across civil, structural, electrical, controls, and survey disciplines.

Specifications & QA/QC

Technical memoranda, design criteria, construction specifications, plan review, constructability, and reviewer-comment resolution. Experience applying TCEQ requirements, AWWA standards, and local utility criteria.

What I bring to a project

Technical writing that records the basis for a decision. Reviews that connect calculations, plans, and specifications. Clear coordination with clients, consultants, and construction teams when requirements or site conditions change.

I’m joining DAVCAR Engineering soon, continuing my work in civil infrastructure and project delivery.

Additional technical role

Handshake AI

Civil Engineering AI Subject Matter Expert

I develop and evaluate domain-specific engineering problems, checking technical reasoning, assumptions, calculations, and explanations. My work includes structured feedback grounded in civil engineering practice.

I build Windows desktop software that connects numerical processing, interactive interfaces, and practical production workflows.

Application architecture & interfaces

Python applications with PySide6/Qt interfaces, interactive plots, background processing, local project state, and import/export workflows. I work across the user interface, processing logic, and the files that keep a project reproducible.

Digital signal processing & audio

NumPy/SciPy processing, waveform and spectrum analysis, loudness and peak measurement, EQ, dynamics, stereo analysis, and before/after comparison. My development work also includes native C/C++ components, audio-device integration, and plugin-hosting boundaries.

Testing, packaging & delivery

Regression tests, numerical checks, interface checks, performance measurements, and packaged-application verification. I use versioned releases, dependency records, build scripts, and recovery documentation to make changes traceable and delivery repeatable.

Professional background on LinkedIn

Education was a substantial part of my working life. I taught in the classroom, tutored individual students, and ran a tutoring business in Puerto Rico.

A+ Tutoring Systems, Inc.

Owner & mentor

I founded and ran a tutoring business, teaching mathematics, science, and programming while managing its operations and staff.

Secundaria Montessori de Puerto Rico

Math & science teacher

I taught intermediate and high school students. Classroom teaching and individual tutoring gave me experience working with different levels of understanding and explaining the steps behind a solution.

Envato Tuts+

Volunteer translator · April 2016–December 2017

I translated educational material into Spanish, helping make technical and creative subjects accessible to more readers. Published examples include tutorials on arranging music for strings and creating animated game sprites.

That background is part of how I work today: breaking down a technical problem, checking where an explanation loses someone, and helping them understand how to proceed.
