The short version
SignalForge works entirely on your computer. It collects no personal data, sends nothing over the internet and has no accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking.
What SignalForge does with your files
- Your audio, projects, masters, reports and exports stay on your computer, in the folders you choose. By default that is Documents\SignalForge.
- SignalForge's own settings, caches and logs are kept on your computer in the app's private storage, which Windows manages for Store apps and removes when you uninstall the app.
- The AI features (stem separation and genre matching) run on your computer with models installed with the app. Your audio is never uploaded.
- The DAW plug-ins you install from SignalForge are copied to Documents\SignalForge\DAW Plug-ins on your computer.
What SignalForge does not do
- It does not collect, store or send any personal information.
- It does not connect to the internet. Mastering, measurement, the AI models, the codec checks and the user guides all work offline.
- It has no user accounts, sign-in, analytics, crash reporting, advertising, tracking or third-party data services.
- It does not update itself. Updates come from the Microsoft Store.
Purchases
The Microsoft Store handles buying and installing SignalForge, and any add-on bought inside it, under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. When SignalForge needs to know which add-ons you own, Windows and the Microsoft Store answer from the licences on your computer; SignalForge itself sends nothing. Clear But Complex never receives your payment details.
Links to websites
Help > About contains links to the Clear But Complex website and social channels, and the user guides link to the published sources they cite. They open only when you click them, in your own web browser. Those websites have their own privacy policies.
Children
SignalForge collects no data from anyone, including children.
